Dental Practice is currently seeking an administrative professional who enjoys a fast pace setting, is able to multi-task, and is well-organized.

The successful candidate's duties include: Greeting patients; Gathering their information and entering the information into the practice's database; Handle Insurance information and communicate with Insurance Companies when necessary and assist in handling phone lines.

The practice utilizes TDO, so experience with this software program would be a bonus, but not a necessity.         Local businesses (think Doctors and Movers) are increasingly having trouble advertising to their potential customers. Years ago, it was easy, they would simply take out an ad in the yellow pages or the paper and their phone would ring. Now things are more complicated – consumers are using the search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN Live Search and expect to find local results instantly. Our goal is to make the complex world of online advertising simple for local business owners so that they can focus on running their business rather than advertising it.         The Job

        As a Software Engineer you will be able to work on all aspects of our platform based on your interests. We have opportunities for engineers who specialize in user-interface, backend, content management, messaging, database systems and web services. Regardless of which components you touch, we'll want you to be involved in design, coding and testing. We primarily work with Linux, Java, Spring and PostgreSQL, but we use other technologies including JavaScript, Python, Groovy, R, Ruby and Perl where appropriate.

        Responsibilities

        • Excellent coding skills. Software that works, is reliable and testable should be what you do by default.
        • You should be able to work daily in our office in New York City
        • Excellent English communications skills, both written and verbal

        Web Site Design for Documentary Film (Upper West Side)

        Looking for someone with a strong visual sensibility -- preferably with a design background -- to refine a new and growing site for a documentary film about domestic violence. The job includes design of the site pre-launch, as well as a continuing role in adding new elements and updating content. A strong background in Flash and other streaming platforms is also essential. This job will pay, but certainly not top dollar.
